WARFORDSBURG, Pa., Feb. 3, 2014 — Mellott Company announced the addition of industry veteran Greg Spina as vice president of market development. Spina will further expand Mellott Company’s line of used equipment and lead the Mellott Company Certified Rebuild Program — an area that has recently seen an increased emphasis within the company known for national and international sales of high-quality stone crushing equipment.
Spina brings over ten years of experience as a top industry rebuild and repair sales manager, making him the ideal candidate to oversee Mellott Company’s used equipment and rebuilt equipment business. “I believe Greg will be a great asset as we expand this new business unit. Our goal is to further enhance the Mellott Company brand and continue to increase our market share,” said Richard Blake, the company’s president. “He brings energy and experience in terms of management, sales, service, and sourcing. Greg’s industry experience and knowledge will prove highly valuable to our customers, associates, and management.”
The initiative is a response to customer demand for more flexible and affordable solutions. “The modern customer is smart and wants to manage their risks,” said Blake. “We make it simple for them by customizing options that fit their particular situation.” Customers can save on new, rebuilt, or factory re-certified rock crushers by taking advantage of trade-in offers on their existing equipment.
Mellott Company is already known for their specialized knowledge in the rebuilding and repairing of rock crushers and screens. “But it’s not just about equipment,” said Blake. “What really adds value is our expertise and know-how. Anybody can sell a used crusher, but when that crusher needs service and repairs, it turns into a paperweight if you don’t have the experienced people to get it back up and running properly.”
Spina and newly appointed sourcing manager Tim Smyth — who has more than 40 years of global industry experience — will take the lead on sourcing used crushers and screens to rebuild and refurbish affordable alternatives for world-wide distribution. Spina will manage the expanded initiative from the Mellott Company corporate campus in Warfordsburg, Pa., and report to Blake.
Mellott Company rebuilds and refurbishes all makes and models of stone crushing equipment, such as jaw crushers, cone crushers, and screening machines for mining, quarrying, and the slag industries. Mellott Company also offers mobile crushing solutions, aggregate-processing systems, parts and services for the crushed stone, crushed slag, and mining industries; and complete solutions for environmental protection and abrasive wear mitigation.Back to news
