Southern Fulton High School Visit April 2019

May. 16, 2019

Southern Fulton High School Seniors attended a guided visitation of the Mellott Company main campus facility in Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania in late April. The visitation consisted of a guided tour of the manufacturing, service, corporate, engineering, and administrative buildings. Mellott Company incorporated some educational and inspirational speeches from corporate and community leaders as well as facilitated professional level mock interviews into the experience.

The day started as students arrived at the service facility, where they learned how Mellott Company rebuilds and repairs equipment. The second stop on the tour was Mellott Company’s technology and engineering department; listening to how aggregate processing plants are engineered and designed.

Next students visited the Mellott Company manufacturing facility to better understand steel fabrication, welding, and component assembly.

Paul Mellott and Helen Overly – a long-time presenter – provided personal and professional advice that touched on Mellott Company’s five values; safety, integrity, commitment, respect, and excellence.

Southern Fulton students and teachers praised Paul Mellott and the entire Mellott Company for opening their doors to the community and investing in the future of Fulton County over the last 25 years. Student were excited to learn more about Mellott Company and how they have the opportunity to work and live in the community they call home.
