Crane Training For Several Mellott Company Employees

Apr. 09, 2014

Higher Learning—Mario Benjamin leads a crane training class for a group of employees in the corporate training room.

Crane operators must soon be trained and certified according the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Mellott Company Safety Director Mario Benjamin recently put a dozen employees through a rigorous crane course to meet the training and certification regulation that takes effect later this year.
By November 10, 2014, all crane operators on construction sites must be “certified or qualified” to comply with safety standards enforced by OSHA. As always, Mellott Company believes in a “Safety First” attitude and it made sense for us to make the investment to train our operators to comply by the time the regulation takes effect.
