Mellott Company continues the journey of Values Based leadership. The intent is to give employees the tools they need to make the right decisions in their everyday work. Annually, since 2007, the company recognizes several employees who have exemplified one of the five company values: Safety, Integrity, Commitment, Respect, and Excellence. The employees are rewarded with an additional week of paid vacation, a certificate of recognition, and an embroidered winter coat. This year, the awards were again presented by Mellott Company Chairman Paul Mellott.

The certificate of recognition reads:

Rodney Divelbliss

Rodney recently celebrated  38 years of service to Mellott Company and along the way has developed skills that are worthy of respect.  He has worked as a mobile equipment technician and became a highly respected Supervisor of mobile maintenance within his career.  He was also the Company’s first installer and calibrator of portable crushing plant scales.  That’s why he was the obvious choice to become the facilitator and mentor for the Mellott University students.  He has added tremendous value to the program.  His willingness to step up and fill the gap was appreciated and helped take the program to the next level in its second year.  His skills as a mechanic and attention to detail are compatible with the requirements to be a successful mentor.  When you get a chance to see him interact with the students of Mellott University you can see his passion for the job and the credibility that he has developed with the students.  It is rewarding to see our home-grown skilled mobile technician building the self-esteem of newcomers and promoting positive relationships.  Our industry, company and team will be better for the effort of industry leaders like Rodney.
